Julian Lennartz received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Culture, Individual and Society at the Ruhr-University Bochum in 2018. He wrote his bachelor’s thesis about the fallacy of composition of forgiveness. He is currently writing his master’s thesis about the development of social cognition in children from a teleological perspective, and philosophy of action. Through the course of his internship at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) Essen, he is writing an article about the public discourse of Essen Altendorf and the residual drug scene and crime investigation by the police. He is interested in examining the tension between drug cultures and policy making by city councils. Julian’s interests also include cyborg culture, artificial intelligence, bioethics, social and cultural psychology, social theory and feminist discourses.

Besides his academic career, Julian is a registered nurse and has worked at a closed psychiatric ward since 2012. He is also a semi-professional musician and has worked as an audio engineer for over 20 years.
